About Us

SealX embodies the American Dream: the realization of a promise for a better life through determination and hard work. Our founders worked tirelessly cleaning houses and businesses while nurturing a vision of creating their own commercial janitorial service company. Through relentless drive and creativity, that small startup has transformed into a respected janitorial cleaning company that empowers facility managers to achieve 100% operational reliability, eliminating the hidden costs and constant oversight typically associated with maintaining complex facilities.

Our History

What started as a hands-on cleaning experience grew into a vision: a better system, designed for modern operations and led by people who knew what the job actually required. After experiencing firsthand the broken systems of traditional commercial cleaning, inconsistent results, poor communication, and little accountability, our founders saw an opportunity to build something better. Their journey directly informed our approach to janitorial services today, enabling us to create practical solutions for the real challenges that facility managers face. SealX combines authentic field experience with AI technology that makes sense, establishing a commercial janitorial service company that delivers what modern facilities genuinely need.

From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leadership

The founding siblings, Jaz, Gurpreet, and Sonia, arrived from India with determination but few resources. They took on countless cleaning jobs: houses, offices, businesses; working tirelessly to support their families while learning the janitorial business from the ground up. They experienced firsthand the challenges of quality control, employee management, and client satisfaction in commercial cleaning. This hands-on education revealed gaps in the industry: inconsistent service, poor working conditions, and a lack of accountability. By 2018, they had saved enough to launch their own janitorial cleaning company, starting with just a handful of clients and a commitment to doing things differently. Today, SealX has grown to serve prestigious clients, including the University of Washington and numerous state government departments, though our founders still carry the valuable perspective gained from their early days in the field.

Building Stability Through Respect

In an industry notorious for its 400% turnover rate, SealX demonstrates remarkable team stability. This isn't by accident. Most janitorial companies churn staff constantly, leading to inconsistent service, communication gaps, and retraining cycles. At SealX, we've retained our teams long-term, creating stable site operations and institutional knowledge that protects your facility from the cost of turnover. This stability means you'll never waste time explaining your facility's needs repeatedly or monitoring quality drops during staff transitions. Our janitorial cleaning company maintains continuity that directly impacts your bottom line - fewer service failures, reduced management overhead, and consistent performance standards that typical commercial janitorial service companies simply can't deliver. While competitors struggle with team gaps, our experienced teams maintain momentum, enabling your operation to run smoothly without the hidden costs associated with service disruptions.

Technological Innovation Rooted in Practical Experience

In most facilities, you don't know what's been cleaned until someone complains. We fixed that. Rather than adopting generic solutions, we developed tools specifically for janitorial services, informed by our founders' practical experience. SealX's AI technology provides total operational clarity, ensuring that every task is tracked, every shift is documented, and every supply need is predicted before it becomes a problem. The result is greater transparency for clients, better resource management, and janitorial cleaning services that consistently meet the highest standards across all locations.

Some Journeys Lead to Unexpected Destinations

In July of 2015 I met Gurpreet Singh when he picked me up in his rickety Toyota Prius. The next time I ordered an Uber, we were both surprised once again Gurpreet showed up to take me to the airport. At the time it certainly didn’t seem like serendipity, just comfortably convenient. So I asked for Gurpreet’s cell phone number so I could book him directly. Soon after I met his younger brother Jaz, who would pick me up when Gurpreet was busy.

During rides to and from the airport we learned bits and pieces of each other’s personal histories, including the sacrifices their parents made to find a better life in America. During one ride Gurpreet asked me to meet with him and Jaz to learn about a franchise they had recently bought. I thought, ‘here it comes, they are trying to sell me something.’ But rather than be polite and dismissive, I said ‘yes.’ It turned out they weren’t trying to sell me anything. They were actually looking for a mentor to help them see more clearly how the American dream can be realized, to see that the hard-wired limitations they were born into in their native India were no longer barriers to a new mindset.

From there began a journey of mentoring by me, but mostly hard work by them. I introduced them to my business world, including a world class brand designer, CEOs of companies and strategies to begin and grow their business. They joke with me that they had to come to America to meet their Swedish American guru. In reality, they have applied their smarts, strong work ethic and Sikh values of honesty, integrity and service to make their American dream uniquely their own. I may have opened the doors closer to the front of the line, but they sprinted to make sure they walked through them. It turned out it was serendipity after all.
